Professional Inspiration is excited to announce that we have partnered with Teach Illinois to offer online, self-paced teacher and student wellness courses that focus on practical strategies to help educators prevent burnout and improve the classroom environment and outcomes.
My name is Chanelle R. Walker, M. Ed. I am known as the Teacher Wellness Guru and I am a national teacher wellness advocate, speaker, and course developer. As an educator with 20 plus years of experience, 10 as a classroom teacher, I know first hand the challenges educators face. I call it The Elephant in the Classroom in the my 2019 TEDx Talk, which now has more that 400,000 views. This is what inspires to design of each course I develop.
Our wellness courses, which are approved for 45 professional development hours each, are designed to empower educators with strategies, support and tools to create a he learning environment where educators and students can thrive.
Each course is 5 modules and includes expert-led videos, a 5-10 question quiz, a resource dive, strategy practice and critical reflection. For only $175 a course, our courses save you time, energy and money.

Burnout Prevention for You and Me

Teachers and students are under tremendous stress to achieve and perform in the classroom, on state tests, and in the school community. Due to the impact of the pandemic, there has experienced even more strain on students’ and teachers' mental and emotional wellness. In this course, teachers will learn how to combat teacher and student burnout and improve socio-emotional wellness in the classroom environment.
Growth Mindset for You and Me

The continuing impact of the lapse in learning through the hight of the pandemic has placed a plethora of additional challenges on teachers and students. With many students below grade level and teachers doing their best to get them on target, it can be a frustrating task that seems impossible to achieve.
In this course, Growth Mindset for You and Me: Strategies for Teachers and Students to Increase Abilities and Achievement, participants will learn about the research supported and evidence based strategy growth mindset and how to develop a growth mindset and help their students’ develop a growth mindset.
Adopting Mindfulness for You and Me

In the course Mindfulness for You and Me: Implementing Mindfulness to Improve Outcomes Overall, participants will learn how to use mindfulness, which is a research-based strategy, to improve social and emotional wellness for themselves and their students during these historically difficult times. In addition, they will understand how mindfulness also impacts concentration, focus, and organization, which have suffered immensely under today’s educational conditions.
Addressing the Impact of Trauma

This course delves into the various forms of trauma that students, teachers, and frontline staff may experience, such as adverse childhood experiences, community violence, loss, and other adverse life events. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the physiological, cognitive, and behavioral impacts of trauma on individuals, and how it can affect their overall achievement and well-being.
Courageous Conversations About Wellness

In this course, Courageous Conversations About Wellness: Fostering Wellness in Schools, participants will learn how to facilitate a courageous conversation, and they will learn about the impact of wellness or lack of wellness to achievement, schools, and communities.
Having courageous conversations about wellness will allow for educators to gain a deeper understanding of their own wellness and their students’ wellness and how it impacts learning, instruction, and education equity.

These courses are self-paced and you have access 24/7 in our learning management system. There is no time limit, but we suggest you complete courses within 12 months.
